Ring Magazine have released their latest pound-for-pound top ten rankings and there is no place for heavyweight duo Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Joshua is yet to fight in 2020 while Fury's victory over Deontay Wilder in February isn't enough to earn a spot on the list.

In the list however is Josh Taylor who has become the first Scotsman to feature, with 'The Tartan Tornado' placing ninth.

But the top spot is reserved for Canelo Alvarez and while he hasn't fought since defeating Sergey Kovalev last year, his 53 wins from 56 fights keeps him clear of the rest.

Alvarez had been signed with Golden Boy Promotions throughout the year, but a sensational fall out with Oscar De La Hoya has seen his agent declare him a 'free agent.'

Eddy Reynoso stated on Friday evening: "In my role as a manager and coach of Canelo Alvarez, I allow myself to communicate to the boxing community and all our fans, that starting today, November 6th, Canelo becomes a free agent.

"So we are ready to continue with his boxing career.

"All this time, we have been working very hard in the gym with a lot of responsibility and discipline, to be in great physical shape and ready to fight this year.

"And it will be [this year]! We will announce date, rival and place very soon, and we will return strong than ever to keep growing and showing that Mexican boxing is the best."
