Joshua, 28, was making the fifth defence of his IBF world title, and the second defence of his WBA (super) belt after claiming the title against Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium.
While Joseph Parker had his WBO strap on the line.
For the first time in his career, Joshua went the distance and added the WBO world heavyweight title to his collection in his first ever decision victory in his 21st fight, inflicting a first professional loss on Parker and becoming the unified world heavyweight champ.
