Ever wondered what Anthony Joshua eats ahead of a fight?

Well, his nutritionist Mark Ellison has detailed what the heavyweight world champion consumes, and, naturally, it's a lot. Like, a LOT.

Joshua, 28, is slated to defend his WBA (super) and IBF world titles against Joseph Parker, who puts his WBO belt on the line at the sold-out Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. A huge unification bout pitting two undefeated fighters.

The 2012 Olympic Gold medalist is, as ever, in supreme shape heading into Saturday night. He's a machine in the gym and has a meticulous meal plan to go with it.

Here's what he eats from the beginning of the day to evening meal.

BREAKFAST.

He'll start the day with poached eggs, brown bread, a variety of fruits, yoghurt and a bowl of porridge.

From time to time he'll also have a salmon bagel which will be accompanied with "a load of veg like spinach, peppers, and onions" and a "recovery shake, with protein and carbohydrates" if he's feeling the strain of a workout, according to Ellison.

LUNCH.

His lunch consists of chicken breasts with sweet potatoes and plenty of vegetables.

DINNER.

After a grueling workout including an intense gym session or a grueling spar, Joshua will follow that up with dinner.

On the menu is red meat. We're talking steaks. While served with pasta, wholegrain rice or quinoa and more veg.

Or even a cheeky Nando's.

CELEBRATORY DESSERT.

His personal favourite: Apple pie with ice cream. Who can blame him?!

There you have it, Joshua's monster-calorific diet.

Reckon you could consume that much?
