Andy Ruiz Jr Shows Off Remarkable Weight Loss Ahead Of Anthony Joshua Rematch

A picture of Andy Ruiz Jr with sparring partner Michael Hunter has appeared on Twitter and he looks in fantastic shape ahead of the Anthony Joshua rematch.
Ruiz Jr is set face Joshua in Saudi Arabia on December 7 after defeating the Brit to win the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles back in June.

The California born boxer is clearly taking the rematch very seriously as he is looking in much better shape than the first match.

Ruiz Jr shocked the world in June after defeating Joshua in the seventh round and becoming the first boxer of Mexican heritage to be world heavyweight champion.
He has recently claimed he is "lighter, faster and more powerful" than ever before as they prepare to go head-to-head again.
Fans on Twitter reacted to the weight loss, claiming the fighter looks ready for the Joshua rematch.

Images and videos of Ruiz Jr in preparation for the fight had been released a few weeks ago and it was clear to see the change in his shape in the last five months.
But the 30-year-old did have some doubters when it came to his weight loss commitment.

One of those is AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn.
The controversial promoter recently spoke out about the first released footage of Ruiz Jr saying he thinks fans have been tricked.

"I thought he looked quite tubby," Hearn said after watching a clip of Ruiz Jr's open workout in San Diego. "I actually thought he looked heavier than he did previously.
"Make your own mind up. That clip that I saw, which was him training in San Diego, I didn't think that he looked slimmer than he did last camp.

"There was one picture of him leaning forward. The old 'lean forward', tucked back, with a little pout, can make you lose half a stone. Maybe he's done that.
"I thought he looked heavy, I thought he looked a bit slower actually - maybe I'm just used to his speed now. He's a bit tubby, isn't he? I'm a bit tubby."

Whether it's mind games or not from Hearn, the transformation in Ruiz is clear to see.
