Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali were only ever on one talk show together and it makes for fascinating viewing.

The duo appeared on The Arsenio Hall show back in 1989 and also sat alongside 'Sugar' Ray Leonard.

Ali was 48-years-old while Tyson was 23 and in the midst of his world title run.

Hall asked both men who they thought would win should they ever step into the ring together.

Ali replied with:

"I was a dancer. I wasn't that powerful but I was so fast."

"If he hit me," and Ali went on to feign a getting knocked out motion to the audience's laughter.

'Iron Mike' looked honoured to receive such praise from 'The Greatest' but he stayed humble in his reply.

He proclaimed:

"In this situation, every head must bow, every tongue must confess, this man (Ali) is the greatest of all time.

"I've seen him in the ring with killers. Foreman, Frazier - killers who hit much harder than I and he takes these guys greatest punches and that's what made him such a champion."

'The Baddest Man on the Planet' went on to express the way Ali gave him belief as a youngster and helped mold the fighter he became.

"Watching Ali gave me this confidence and deep down inner belief.

"He used to make every prediction come true. He would take his character and use it to reflect against his opponents - and he made them believe that he was invincible."

Tyson's respect for Ali has shone through in recent years and he reaffirms that he'd have been beaten by Ali.

Speaking to 'This is 50' in 2012, Iron Mike explained exactly why no one could have beaten prime Ali.

He said:

"There's no man like him.

"Everything we have, he supersedes it.

"Nobody beats Ali, it's not about the muscle memory it's not about concentration it's just about him doing it.

"I can't beat that man, hell no f**k this (laughs)."
