Logan Paul has claimed that Floyd Mayweather Jr is "trying to kill" him ahead of their bizarre exhibition bout this weekend.

Despite never picking up a single boxing victory in his short professional career, the YouTube star will take on the 50-0 boxing icon in a fight that looks to be pulling in hundreds of thousands of fans, if not millions.

And Paul believes Mayweather will try to "kill" him - especially after his brother Jake snatched the boxing legends cap at their press conference last month.

The exhibition nature of the fight means that Mayweather's impeccable record in the ring will not be tarnished should he lose the contest.

Meanwhile, Paul's history of 0-1 will remain the same - even if he wins.

However, Paul has revealed that Sunday's Miami showdown is far more than an exhibition - and insisted on the True Geordie Podcast that Mayweather will not have an easy fight on his hands.

He said: "It's not an exhibition - what exhibition is eight three-minute rounds?

"You know, this is a fight. If Floyd didn't want to rip my head off before my brother took his hat, now he's trying to kill me.

"He's trying to make an example of the big brother so the younger brother has to suffer, watch and witness.

"I don't know if you've seen Scarface, but that's what he's trying to do.

"It's going to be a war, I'm not going to make this s*** easy for him - we've been training our a**es off for eight months now to fight this guy."

In the build-up to this weekend's fight, Paul told Sky Sports how he has visualised beating Mayweather in his head "every night" ahead of the clash.

The 26-year-old said: "I've seen it all in here. All I do is visualise. I know what I have to do.

"I know what it's going to look like, standing across from Floyd and looking in his eyes. He's going to be smiling, I'm sure, taunting me a little bit. I've seen it - all of it."

When asked whether he has visualised defeating the undefeated former boxing champion, Paul replied: "Every night."
