Canelo Vs Saunders: Fight Date, UK Time, Predictions And Odds

Billy Joe Saunders will bid to shock the world next month by dethroning pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez in a huge unification bout.

Saunders, who is undefeated in 30 fights, will throw down with the hard-hitting Mexican in an eagerly-anticipated super-middleweight title unification bout.

Canelo retained his WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring super-middleweight titles in February when he breezed past Turkey's Avni Yildirim.

It took his record to an incredible 55 wins and he'll now be looking to claim another and add more gold to his collection.

But Britain's Sanders, a close friend of WBC heavyweight heavyweight Tyson Fury, is the WBO champion and is confident of upsetting the odds and beating the great Canelo.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Saunders said: "I'd give up my life and say goodbye to my kids to beat Canelo - this means everything to me."

On Tuesday, Saunders was threatening to call off the fight and fly home from Texas because he was "unhappy" with the ring dimensions.

Canelo vs Saunders predictions and betting odds

Mike Tyson believes Canelo Alvarez will vanquish Billy Joe Saunders in their upcoming super-middleweight title clash.

The newly crowned WBC, WBA, and Ring Magazine champion Canelo, is a four-division champion who is aiming to unify the titles.

That said, he will have to surpass the unbeaten Saunders to add the WBO title on his shoulders.

Although Saunders has his fair chances of winning the fight, Tyson predicted that he would lose in the first six minutes.

In a quick conversation with ES News, 'Iron' Mike shed his opinion on the fight:

Saul Canelo Alvarez is 1/6 heavy favourite, while Billy Joe Saunders is the outsider at 4/1. A draw is priced at 16/1.
