Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have landed verbal blows on social media over the protracted negotiations for their undisputed heavyweight world title fight.

Patience seems to be wearing thin between the two British stars, who are likely to meet this summer in Saudi Arabia with all four major recognised world titles on the line.

But with a final date and venue still to be announced, Joshua has warned the 'Gypsy King' he is "tired of waiting" and wants to see "less talk, more action" as he waits for an agreement to be reached.

After months of negotiations, promoter Eddie Hearn claimed over the weekend that the deal would finally be rubberstamped and made official this week - though yet again a stumbling block has emerged.

Fury's co-promoter Frank Warren now claims the Gypsy King is refusing to sign the fight contract due to a dispute over money and could walk away from the deal completely.

The latest obstacle has clearly irked Joshua, with the three-belt heavyweight champion messaging Fury on Twitter and urging him to put pen to paper.

Tagging his rival, he tweeted: "I'm tired. My fans are tired. Your fans are tired.

"We're all tired of the talk. Less talk, more action!"

Joshua also made reference to Fury's comments that he was a 'spartan' and did not care about money, even though Warren has now made it clear that the hold-up relates to a monetary issue.

Speaking to Hearn on his BBC Radio 5 live podcast No Passion, No Point, Fury had said: "The real difference here, in men, is that he's a businessman and I'm a f***ing spartan.

"I don't care about money, I'm a spartan, I live to fight - I don't care about any other thing in boxing."

Joshua uploaded those soundbites to his Instagram stories along with his message to Fury, with the lineal champ biting back and suggesting it is AJ who is dragging his heels.

Fury came back swinging and responded a few hours later: "Come get some then you big ugly dosser - you're no talk, no action."

Speaking to Seconds Out on Monday, Fury's promoted Warren said: 'What is there to say until a contract is signed?

"We've got a contract that Tyson Fury will not sign and until Tyson is happy with the terms it won't get signed, and he's not happy at the moment."
