Nick Kyrgios Blows Up At 'Smarta***' Umpire Before Storming Off Court

The Aussie wasn't too happy after the umpire hit him with a time violation during one of his serves.

We absolutely love Nick Kyrgios, and this kind of stuff is exactly why.

After being penalised for a time violation during his Murray River Open clash with Harry Bourchier, the Aussie fan favourite unleashed on the chair umpire and even walked off the court threatening not to continue playing.

With Kyrgios on the brink of victory, the umpire clearly thought he was taking far too long on his serves and decided to hit him with a violation just as he was lining up his action.

And when comparing his routine to the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, you could make a strong argument that this was very harsh.

Unsurprisingly, the call didn't sit well with the 25-year-old, who wasn't shy in letting the umpire know how he felt about it.

"I'm not playing. Get him (the supervisor) out. No, I don't understand. I wanna talk to him," Kyrgios said as he stormed off the court.

"I'm not f***ing moving. It's like you guys do it to just be funny. Bro, I was serving. Why'd you have to call it?"

And as Kyrgios sat down in his courtside seat, the tournament official eventually emerged but it seemed his calls for calm fell on deaf ears.

"I saw the clock and it was at 3 2 1. And at 1 I began pulling my serve back and he calls a time violation. But I was serving, that's my motion," Kyrgios explained.

"I wasn't bouncing the ball, I was serving - it's ridiculous.

"Tennis isn't about him (the umpire). He's an extra to make sure all this s**t goes smoothly so why does he feel the need to do that?

"I was serving and you know I have to go back and forth to get my towel. So he's a smarta*** and calls it? And now I'm gonna be fined for it. I'm playing by the rules, I was serving.

"I don't care, why's he doing that?"

The match eventually restarted, but Kyrgios wanted to ensure that we wasn't going to receive a hefty bill in the post in a couple of weeks' time.

"Do I get fined for that, yes or no?" Kyrgios asked the supervisor.

And when fellow Aussie Bourchier pressed him on the issue during the middle of their game, Kyrgios simply replied: "I wanted to talk about it now. I've lost enough money to these peanuts."

Yes Nick, tell 'em!

He ended up winning the match too, with the score ending 6-2 7-6(7).
