Photos Emerge Online Of Penrith Panthers Star Viliame Kikau Wearing A Canterbury Bulldogs Jersey

The Canterbury Bulldogs look to have landed Penrith Panthers star Viliame Kikau in one of the biggest signings of the NRL offseason.

Photos have now surfaced online too, confirming the move is - in fact - a done deal.

With Kikau's contract in Penrith coming to an end, a number of NRL clubs were vying to sign him including the North Queensland Cowboys and St George Illawarra Dragons.

Fresh off the back of a historic Premiership victory with the Panthers, the bulldozing forward is certainly hot property.

But it seems the Bulldogs have managed to edge out their rivals and lock down Kikau on a four-year, $800,000-a-season deal.

Despite rumblings last season that Kikau was eager to explore greener pastures, the Panthers were confident of keeping their star man.

"We're very confident that ee will be able to come to an agreement with his management and have him on the roster for another three or four years as well," Panthers chief executive Brian Fletcher said in September.

"Every indication is that he'll be staying.

"A lot of players like to take a little bit of a discount to play with a side that's going well, so I think he comes under that category."

Reports from The Daily Telegraph suggest the deal is done and Kikau has signed on the dotted line.

But if Doggies fans still want more proof, then look no further than social media.

Pictures of Kikau donning a blue Bulldogs jersey while posing alongside head coach Trent Barrett and Gus Gould have now emerged online, all but confirming the big-name signing.

It's another massive, massive coup for the 2020 wooden spooners, who have also acquired the services of Josh Addo-Carr, Matt Burton, Brent Naden, Matt Dufty, Paul Vaughan, Tevita Pangai Jr, Josh Cook, John Asiata, Max King and Braidon Burns.
