Sonny Bill Williams could be on his way back to the Sydney Roosters.
The cross-code megastar is on the brink of a sensational NRL comeback after his Toronto Wolfpack side announced they were withdrawing from the UK Super League for the remainder of the season.
The decision plunged William's $10million deal with the Canadian club into limbo with NRL clubs scrambling to register their interest in snapping up the two-time Premiership winner.

Now, though, it appears a familiar face has already began the negotiation proceedings.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Roosters boss Nick Politis met for lunch with Williams' manager Khoder Nasser on Tuesday in a bid to lure the free agent back to Sydney's east.
With up to $150,000 cap space free, the Roosters can certainly afford to pay their former employee - a player who spearheaded a star-studded Roosters team to an NRL Premiership back in 2013.

It's also understood the Tri-Colours are even contemplating offering SBW a coaching gig next season if his deal with Toronto falls through completely.
The two-time rugby World Cup winner will fly to Australia from the UK in the coming days and is expected to make a decision on his playing future by the end of this week.
Roosters fans, stay tuned.
