It's the biggest recorded crowd since the outbreak of coronavirus.
Last night, Australian sporting history was made.
The State of Origin decider between New South Wales and Queensland was played in front of a packed-out Suncorp Stadium.

And when we say packed-out, what we really mean is a live crowd of 52,000 people.
That's right, over 52,000 rugby league fans were in attendance to watch Queensland - who had previously been described as 'the worst Origin team ever' - upset the odds by beating hot favourites New South Wales with the score ending 20-14.
Despite the late comeback from the Blues, it was a rather one-sided affair with Queensland dominating first-half proceedings.
That being said, NSW thought they'd clawed it back when some late drama saw the match officials opt against awarding a penalty try in the dying embers of the game.

Overall, it had all the ingredients for a classic State of Origin clash - and it didn't disappoint.
While New South Wales were left pointing fingers as the referee blew his whistle for full-time, one thing that certainly can't be faulted was the incredible atmosphere inside Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
The sheer size and noise of the hostile crowd was electric, so much so that it has gained global attention from sports fans.
For many, the concept of not playing sport in empty stadiums with no supporters - the way it has been for over 6 months due to COVID-19 - seems foreign.

So upon seeing last night's State of Origin, sports tragics from all over the globe heaped praise on the NRL and Australia for the way it has handled the pandemic.
