Kyle Feldt Somehow Escapes Sin Bin For Clear High Shot On Cameron Murray

Where's the consistency Mr V'Landys?!

Kyle Feldt has avoided the sin bin after cracking Cam Murray high and late in a tackle in Origin 1.

Referee Gerard Sutton and his pals in the NRL Bunker declined to sit the Cowboys winger down despite the obvious foul.

Feldt found himself on report for the shot, which was clear, forceful and high: exactly the sort of tackle that the recent crackdown has been trying to eliminate.

Feldt might have been saved from the ignominy of being sent from the field on his home ground on Origin debut because the tackle wasn't effective: the play continued and NSW scored, with Tom Trbojevic continuing his superb game by laying on a try for Latrell Mitchell.

The Blues now lead 26-6 and look well set to take the honours after Game 1.
