Someone Has Made a Fake Phil Gould Account And It's Absolutely Brilliant

Someone needs to tell Gus about this... actually, don't bother.

Someone, somewhere has had the genius idea of creating a Phil Gould parody account on Facebook.

And, unsurprisingly, it's comedy gold.

The legendary rugby league figure and well-known Channel Nine commentator has been a part of the fabric of the NRL for donkey's years.

From his playing days in the 70s and 80s to his time as the General Manager of Football for the Penrith Panthers, the man known simply as "Gus" has become one of the biggest characters in the sport's history.

And despite recently copping some criticism from fans who accused him of showing bias towards his beloved Panthers during the 2020 NRL Grand Final, Gould has continued to be a central figure in Nine's commentary team.

He has also been appointed as the New Zealand Warriors' chief consultant for the next three seasons.

But if you've seen the usually straight-talking, no-nonsense Gould posting stuff on Facebook recently, we regret to inform you that it's not actually the great man himself.

It's actually someone who has created a fake, parody account in his name.

And while it appears the account has been active for years, whoever runs it has really upped their game in recent weeks and has been pumping out some quality content.

It would honestly take days to dissect every hilarious post or comment from the satirical account, so we've collated a few of the very best for you to feast your eyes upon.
