I mean, that right there is Premiership-calibre team worthy of putting anyone and everyone to the slaughter.

Right now, the trophy-starved Broncos faithful are crying out for a team as star-studded as that - and it seems they could have genuinely had it.

Despite recently coming back from 22 points down to secure an upset victory over local rivals the Gold Coast Titans, Brisbane are still wallowing near the bottom of the NRL ladder.

You'd like to say it's unfamiliar territory for them, but their record over the past few season suggests it's really not.

After their decade of dominance during the '90s where the Broncos won a whopping five Premierships, the years that followed (excluding 2006) have been anything but - well - dominant.

Instability both on and off the field has seen one of Australia's most famous rugby league teams slump to news lows, and the above list of departed players proves that.
