Carole Baskin's Cringey Cameo Video Wishing The Brisbane Lions And Richmond Tigers Good Luck In Their AFL Game

Carole Baskin's Cringey Cameo Video Wishing The Brisbane Lions And Richmond Tigers Good Luck In Their AFL Game

We're not exactly sure who set this up, but wherever you are: we salute you!

With the Richmond Tigers set to face off against the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Finals, it was only right for someone to hire Carole Baskin to create a Cameo video wishing both the teams good luck in their 'Big Cat Derby'.

And, as you can probably imagine, it's comedy gold.

While we were all locked up inside our homes during the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, the Netflix documentary series Tiger King appeared to be the only thing anyone was talking about for weeks on end.

And even though Joe Exotic was the star of the show, most viewers seemed most intrigued by Carole Baskin.

Whether it was her shady past, cringey love for cats or sheer hatred of Joe, there was something about the Big Cat Rescue owner that left us all feeling a bit uneasy.

And Baskin's rise to fame didn't stop when the show came to a dramatic end.

The animal rights activist continued to be a talking point in the news and on social media (especially among local law enforcement who recently re-opened the case against her regarding her missing first husband).

Baskin became such a prominent household name that she even appeared on the popular TV show Dancing with the Stars - although she didn't last long.

Now, though, it appears 59-year-old has found her latest calling.

When she's not busy attending to her rescued lions and tigers, Baskin is cashing cheques by making Cameo clips.

Cameo is the video platform that allows fans to request personalised messages from celebrities in exchange for cash.

And in a video posted to social media by Australian betting company Neds, Baskin sends the Richmond Tigers and the Brisbane Lions a good luck message ahead of their 'Big Cat Derby' in the AFL Finals on Friday.

Baskin began the video with her trademark line, of course, before giving her thoughts on the game.

"Hey all you cool cats and kittens, it's Carole Baskin from Big Cat Rescue," she said.

"One of the questions I get asked the most is 'which one would win in a fight: lions or tigers?' Well, lions and tigers don't even live on the same continent.

"But people have this fascination with who is better between lions or tigers. That's all I hear online.

"Well these kind of tigers, the Brisbane Lions taking on the Richmond Tigers in the Finals of the Australian Football League next week, those kinds of lions and tigers I can talk about... kind of.

" I hear it's called the Big Cat Derby, that's cool! I'm glad there's no real cats at the Big Cat Derby otherwise you'd be hearing from me - you'd be askin' for a Baskin if you were using live animals in your productions so thank you for not doing that.

"I want to wish the Brisbane Lions good luck and that I'll be rooting for you."

Unsurprisingly, the clip went down a treat with Australian sports fans with many seen tagging their friends in Neds' post.

The Lions ended up finishing second on the AFL ladder with the Tigers hot on their heels in third.

That means they must now face off at the Gabba on Friday night for a chance to advance to the next stages of the competition.

We're demanding a full-time report from Carole Baskin.

Can someone make this happen, please?
