The ex-wife of Johnny Manziel has thrown a divorce party to celebrate her split from the former NFL star.

Yes, an actual divorce party.

After finalising their papers, Bre Tiesi's friends decided to organise her a divorce get-together to announce to the world that she is now single.

Wearing a one-piece swimsuit with the word "single" stitched into it, Tiesi posed for pictures alongside her pals in a swanky apartment overlooking a beach.

For most, going through a divorce must be emotionally draining.

But for Tiesi, the glowing grin from ear-to-ear plastered on her face probably suggests otherwise.

"Thanks to all my girls for the craziest divorce party," Tiesi wrote in her Instagram caption.

"No shade to J, wish you nothing but the best, love ya️."

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Manziel saw the funny side of things, commenting on his ex-partner's post with 10 laughing emojis.

The pair got hitched in 2018 but it's understood a divorce has been ongoing since 2019, Tiesi claiming in an old Instagram post that "vows were broken".

As for Manziel, his football career has been littered with controversies both on and off the field.

After collecting the coveted Heisman Trophy during his time at Texas A&M, 'Johnny Football' looked destined for a bright future in the NFL.

Taken with the 22nd pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft, Manziel failed to impress with the ball-in-hand and never fully cemented his place as the team's starter.

On top of that, he was facing constant media scrutiny for a number of incidents away from football too.

By 2015, just a few seasons after he was drafted and tipped to take the league by storm, Manziel was released by the Browns and received no other offers from NFL teams.
