Cryptic Tweet From Ben Simmons’ Sister Sparks Fresh Trade Rumours

The Aussie guard's sister sent NBA experts and fans into a frenzy with one very simple but cheeky tweet regarding upcoming "trade news".

Ben Simmons is at the centre of yet more NBA trade speculations.

The Philadelphia 76ers guard was recently linked with a move to the Houston Rockets in a trade that would have seen former league MVP James Harden go the opposite way.

But just as that rumour appeared to die down, another one has been sparked up.

Only this time, it wasn't famous ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski breaking the news.

It was actually someone a lot closer to home for Aussie All-Star Simmons - his own sister.

"Can't wait for trade news on Tuesday......." Olivia Simmons tweeted on Monday night.

That social media post alone sent NBA experts and fans into a frenzy with many clamouring for more details.

But she then followed it up with an equally-as-cryptic tweet.

"How I'm about to sleep knowing it's Tuesday morning in the USA and I'm all the way down under. Goodnight sweet dreams don't let the trade bugs bite," she said.

Daryl Morey, who is the president of basketball operations with the Sixers, has rubbished the rumours that either Simmons or Joel Embiid would be traded to make way for Harden.

"We got to get rid of that noise. We love Ben and Joel," Morey told radio show 97.5 The Fanatic.

"I think Sam Hinkie (former 76ers general manager) said it when he came out of his groundhog hole, that fans went through the process for those two players. Why would we try and ship them out? Doc and I are here for a reason."

The Sixers seem adamant on keeping Simmons in Philly.

But if his sister's tweet is anything to go by, then the 24-year-old could be on the move sooner rather than later.
