An NBA fan has been ejected from the Washington Wizards' game against the Philadelphia 76ers after pouring popcorn on Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook was being escorted from the court by medical staff after sustaining a nasty ankle injury midway through the Playoff clash.
But just as the Wizards guard made his way down the Wells Fargo Center tunnel, a spectator dumped a load of popcorn on his head.

And it wasn't just one or two pieces either, it looked like the entire box was poured out.
Clearly absolutely fuming, as anyone else would, Westbrook went back to try and confront the person who threw the popcorn.
Security and the the Wizards medical staff were on hand to restrain Westbrook before something far more serious broke out within the crowd.

As for the person responsible, arena security frantically searched for their whereabouts and ended up escorting one bloke from the premises.
The guy was wearing a red Sixers hat.
Speaking after the incident, Westbrook said: "I wouldn't come up to me on the street and throw popcorn on my head, because you know what happens... In these arenas, you gotta start protecting the players. We'll see what the NBA does."

As for the game itself, Philadelphia extended their lead in the series to two wins with the score ending 120-95 against Washington.
Westbrook's fresh injury casts major doubt over whether the Wizards can advance past the top-seeded Sixers.
And with the likes of Philly duo Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons dropping 52 and 28 points respectively over the two games, a come-from-behind victory to clinch the series probably seems further away than ever for Washington.
