NBA Star Hilariously Trolled By His Own Mother After Breaching Quarantine Rules

Leaving the bubble to pick up a food delivery landed Holmes in hot water with the NBA – but it's his own mother he should be worried about

Richaun Holmes is in a world of trouble after breaching strict quarantine rules - and his own mother has even piled into him!

With the NBA set to relaunch on July 30, the Sacramento Kings forward landed himself in hot water with competition officials after he decided to leave the safeguarded Walt Disney World bubble in Orlando to pick up a fast food delivery.

Holmes took to social media to apologise for his actions, but will now have to quarantine for the build-up to the Kings' opening game against the San Antonio Spurs on August 1.

With Holmes now confined to the four walls of his Florida hotel room for at least the next eight days, his Kings colleagues will have to practice without their starting forward.

And while his own teammates are probably worthy of a grovelling apology, perhaps the 6 foot 10 inch big man should turn his attention to patching up things with his own mother.

Lydecia Holmes, who is a die-hard supporter of her son on social media, took to Twitter to hilariously mock her son for his quarantine slip-up.

"You only cross the line for your MOMA's COOKING!" she tweeted.

"AND I WAS NOT IN FLORIDA SIR!! Love you baby!"

The brilliant comment instantly went viral with over 900 retweets and almost 6000 likes.

This comes not long after a host of the NBA's biggest stars were slammed by fans for complaining about the standard of food in Orlando's virus-free bubble.

With that being said, if Mrs Holmes' cooking is as good as she says it is, maybe the NBA could make an exemption to bring her into the safeguarded Orlando zone to supplement the picky players' food needs? We'd love to see it happen.
