Lukasz Borowksi is one tough bugger.
Not because his ear was left flapping in the wind after a single punch completely severed it.

No.
The reason why he's so damn tough is because he wanted to continue fighting.
That's right, Borowksi looked almost surprised that the referee waved off his bout with Pawel Trybala after a blow left the big heavyweight's ear hanging on by a thread.

The two blokes were going toe-to-toe in the co-main event for FEN 31 in Poland, but the bloody war took a completely different turn when Borowksi suffered the gruesome ear injury.
From the looks of things, the torn ear occurred during a relatively innocuous exchange with his opponent.
But while the punch itself didn't seem to devastating, the results certainly were.

Upon seeing the cut ear, the referee wasted no time in calling off the bout and handing Trybala the victory.
Borowksi's appeals fell on deaf ears, but by then the replays of the incident had already confirmed the worst - that his ear was royally f*****.
Surprisingly, though, this isn't the first time that an ear has got in the firing line during an MMA bout.
Just one month ago, Ramiz Brahimaj had a UFC debut to remember when he suffered a similar fate during his welterweight bout against Max Griffin.
Advert
A brutal elbow sliced straight through Brahimaj's left ear, leaving it hanging on by a thread.
Nothing a few stitches can't fix, eh?
