Podcaster and long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan has claimed straight white men will be silenced if 'woke' culture goes too far.
The straight white man expressed this view on his hugely popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, which was bought by Spotify last year in a deal reportedly worth more than $100 million (£70 million).
Chatting to his guest, stand-up comedian Joe List, Rogan said: "You can never be woke enough, that's the problem.
"It keeps going. It keeps going further and further and further down the line, and if you get to the point where you capitulate, where you agree to all these demands, it'll eventually get to, straight white men are not allowed to talk.
"Because it's your privilege to express yourself when other people of colour have been silenced throughout history."

Woke' was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017 after it began being used 'to refer to being "aware" or "well-informed" in a political or cultural sense'.
Its definition in the OED is as follows:
woke, adjective: Originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial or social discrimination and injustice; frequently in stay woke.
However, critics of so-called 'woke culture' argue it can ultimately prevent people from feeling comfortable expressing themselves - and Rogan took this critique one step further.
"It will be, you're not allowed to go outside," he said. "Because so many people were imprisoned for so many years - I'm not joking, it really will get there. It's that crazy.
"We just gotta be nice to each other, man. And there's a lot of people that are taking advantage of this weirdness in our culture, and then that becomes their thing.
"Their thing is calling people out for their privilege, calling people out for their position. You know, so, it's f***ing crazy times."
Evidently though, a lot of people were unconvinced by the argument, what with it being shared on his massive podcast.
Commenting on his rant, one Twitter user said: "And now, with my $100 million contract, I'll talk about how oppressed people like myself are."
Another added: "This is a really weird 'slippery slope' framing of what is ultimately a relatively marginal shift in how people in the majority groups of society perceive and interact with others. You could do the same with his 'be nice to others' mantra at the end. How nice? Donating a kidney?"
A third said: "It's always the people with cable news tv shows or huge a*** podcasts on Spotify who are the ones truly without a voice."
But while there was a lot of reaction along the above lines, there were some who agreed with the 53-year-old.
David A Clarke Jr, former Sheriff of Milwaukee County, said: "They [white men] already can't [talk]. Fight back dammit! I can't fight this fight for you."
While another concurred: "Rogan is right. In a woke setting there is no dialogue, no discussion, no debate."
