A strange way of responding regardless, made even stranger by DeChambeau's absolutely horrendous form.

Bryson DeChambeau has hit back at Brooks Koepka after the US golfer's recent PGA Championship interview went viral.

Well, he sort of 'hit back'.

Koepka hilariously rolled his eyes during the middle of a TV interview as his rival DeChambeau walked directly behind him within camera shot.

The original clip quickly circulated around social media and was seen millions of times by golf fans - it certainly made for very, very awkward viewing.

And it seems DeChambeau was also one of those that eventually got his hands on the clip.

Now the 27-year-old has responded by posting a video of himself on social media going aggressively hard in the gym, captioning the post: "Can't stop, won't stop."

The now-deleted video is a very strange way of responding to the serious shade thrown his way, made even stranger by the fact that DeChambeau's form is absolutely horrendous.

His attempt at some heavy hammer curls is so badly executed that it almost turns into some sort of shoulder shrug move.

Come on lad, no shame in dropping the weight a touch.

One Twitter user pointed out: "What muscle group is he supposed to be working?"

While another added: "These are the worse hammer curls ever..."

As one bloke simply said: "I tweaked my back just watching this."

Some conspiracy theorist fans thought the weird clip was in direct relation to a previous spat between the two golf stars when DeChambeau publicly body shamed Koepka.

"In Body Issue he didn't even have any abs, I can tell you that," DeChambeau said on a live Twitch stream last year.

"I got some abs."

Koepka ultimately got the last laugh, posting a picture of his four major trophies on social media, captioning the photo: "You were right Bryson DeChambeau I am 2 short of a 6 pack."

The extremely awkward interview followed by this strange gym clip is just the latest in this feud between arguably the two bets golfers on the planet.

Strange, very strange indeed.
