Oh dear, oh dear.

One Arsenal super-fan has named his daughter 'Ozil' after a wild bet on social media.

Gunners supporter Jack Robinson went viral back in March when he took to Twitter to reach out to the German World Cup winner ahead of the birth of his child.

Ozil is currently out of favour under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

Robinson tweeted asking for midfield maestro Mesut Ozil to reply back so that his wife would allow him to name the baby 'Ozil'.

"@MesutOzil1088 wife is expecting in July she said if I can get you to reply I can name the kid Ozil, don't let me down."

And just like on the pitch, the man himself was on hand to provide the assist.

Ozil hilariously tweeted back, saying: "It's a deal mate. I don't let you down. Now it's your turn. I want to see the birth certificate of your kid in July."

With many thinking the entire thing was just an online stunt, father-to-be Robinson remained relatively quiet on social media in the build up to the birth. Until now.

Incredibly, the proud dad took to Twitter to share a picture of his beautiful baby girl and the birth certificate.

And of course, she was wrapped in the No.10 Arsenal shirt while fast asleep.

He tweeted: "@MesutOzil1088 Deal completed. Worth every second. Mara Özil Robinson, nickname and #MÖ. Mom and baby girl doing great. Thanks again for an amazing lasting memory."

To which Ozil replied: "Wow, can't believe you really did it man.

"Huge congratulations to you and the little family, Jack."

Former Real Madrid star Ozil, who earns a reported £350,000-a-week (AU$636k) at the Emirates, isn't every Gunners fan's cup of tea.

The 31-year-old hasn't appeared for the side since March with reports linking him with a big-money move abroad.

But it appears one family in particular want the slick-passing German to remain at the club.

Besides, even if he eventually goes, there will still be one famous Ozil left in north London.
