In full kit too! His wife has stitched him up massively here...

Steve Smith has been royally stitched up by his wife Dani Willis.

And it makes for excellent viewing.

Australian cricketer Smith has been known to indulge in a bit of shadow batting every now and then - I mean, don't we all?

With no one in sight and an empty room to yourself, why not play an incredible cover drive shot that sees the invisible ball run away over the boundary.

Some might even raise the bat to celebrate the imaginary century they've just scored.

Actually, never mind.

Either way, it's the sort of stuff that is more common than you think simply because those that secretly do it keep it so under wraps.

But not Smith.

Australia's star batsman has been known to pull off the most spectacular shadow reverse sweeps known to man regardless of where he is.

Grocery shopping, taking the dog for a walk or even while cooking dinner for the family - it doesn't matter

But unfortunately for Smith, this time he was caught napping by his own wife.

While sitting in their hotel room, Smith's partner sneakily managed to video her husband doing a bit of shadow batting the night before Australia's big Test match against India.

Looking very serious, he's even kitted out in his full cricket whites.

And there's some Big Bash League playing on the television in the background too, yes Smithy!

Dani took to social media to post the hilarious video, captioning it: "Sometimes you've just got to shadow bat in full kit to get the feel. Like a kid on Christmas Eve."

Seriously, how can you now love this bloke?

And I bet there's a lot of cricket diehards who would be doing the exact same thing the night before representing their country too - I definitely would be.
