It all started when Jake stole Floyd's hat during a fiery face-to-face.

Jake Paul was left looking pretty shaken up after a brawl erupted between him and boxing royalty Floyd Mayweather.

Both parties were attending a press conference in Miami for the upcoming bout between Mayweather and Logan Paul when Logan's younger brother Jake decided to get himself involved - of course.

Cameras captured the moment Jake and Floyd went face-to-face during a heated exchange.

And it all truly kicked off when Jake stole Floyd's hat.

Yes, really.

Floyd didn't take too kindly to this and went on a solo mission to retrieve his white cap.

And when we say solo mission, what we really mean is a mission that involved viscously attacking the bloke responsible - a kid who is nearly half his age, shall we add.

The wild skirmish then broke out with camera crews and reporters forced to flee.

In one video, Jake can be seen eventually escaping from the melee with cameras panning down to his ripped shirt.

"I've got your hat," he repeated as Floyd hunted him down.

A second altercation then broke out when 44-year-old Floyd went after him again.

Jake was eventually pulled away from the scary scenes and looked to be bloodied up after it all.

Clearly rattled, that didn't stop the YouTuber-turned-boxer from slipping off behind the scenes to fire off a cheeky "gotcha hat" tweet.

He even went one step further and released official "gotcha hat" merchandise on his website not long after.

If truth be told, the scenes were rather embarrassing to say the least.

Witnessing Jake Paul finally take a beating was oddly satisfying for everyone involved, but seeing a 5-foot-4-inch Floyd march up and down the hallways screaming obscenities from the bottom of his lungs was equally as cringey.

It remains to be seen whether further action will be taken against the two men, but you can't imagine any will be.

But it does seem strange to think that Jake Paul actually got punched by another boxer after running his mouth to them... who would have thought?

On a more serious note, wonder if Floyd ever got his hat back?
