Tommy Fury reckons we wasn't allowed in the ring to have a not-so-quiet chat with Jake Paul, so he decided to bring the heat backstage instead.

It all kicked off behind the scenes when Fury confronted Paul following his victory over Tyron Woodley - and you can tell the duo aren't too fond of each other.

Tempers flared in the hallway of Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse as Fury called out the YouTuber to his face, demanding the two finally settle their differences inside the ring.

But before the duo could even go nose-to-nose properly, tensions appeared to boil over in the background as a bit of push-and-shove erupted between Fury and Paul's crews.

In footage released by BT Sport, Fury can be seen waiting patiently in the hallway while Paul is escorted from the ring.

When Paul eventually arrived, Fury wasted no time in giving it to him.

"Listen, you need to stop running my friend and let's get it on," he said.

But just as Paul was about to hit back with a response of his own, their pair were shoved from behind - clearly by some fracas that was going on in the background.

"Chill out, chill out," Fury said in a bid to defuse the situation.

But despite the chaos which was erupting over their shoulders, the BT Sport cameras stayed fixated on the two trash-talking rivals.

As the two entourages continued squabbling, the sound in the low-sealing hallway was eventually soft enough for microphones to pick up the exchange between Fury and Paul.

"Do you want to keep running or do you want to take the fight?" Fury asked.

To which Paul replied: "Well you could barely beat my sparing partner (Anthony Taylor) for four rounds."

The muffled bickering continued down the hallway as security finally moved in to seperate the two groups.

"Take the fight, take the fight, take the fight," Fury repeated while being shepherded away by authorities.

Even as Fury was walking away, Paul and his team continued to bombard him with various taunts and insults.

Speaking on the incident, 22-year-old Fury revealed that he wasn't allowed to get in the ring after Paul's win - stopped squarely in his tracks by the YouTuber's big brother.

"Jake saw me ringside, I was leaning over the ropes waiting to get in. Logan said not now. They ain't fighters," Fury said.

"I was ready to throw hands there and then. This guy doesn't understand - me and my team will go now, we'll get stuck in so he can count his blessings.

"Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can't fight. Imagine him on the street... please. He wouldn't last two seconds.

"If he had no security team there with him, he would have walked straight past me.

"There was a moment in that corridor where everything was going off between the security, my team, his team and it was just me and him.

"I looked dead into his soul. When the cameras are not around, he doesn't want to know.

"Let's be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I'd have been in that ring there at the end through the ropes, let's go, there's no return.

"But he didn't want that and the reason why he didn't want me in the ring is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn't be able to go back on it."

It seems only a matter of time before Fury and Paul lock horns, although they may have to wait after former Disney star Paul shook on a rematch with Woodley during their in-ring interview.

That said, we're still waiting on images of that alleged "I love Jake Paul" tattoo to appear online.
