There's a growing list of professional athletes who can't wait to get their hands on Jake Paul.

Whether it's his cocky nature or sheer plums to call out almost every combat sports athlete on the planet, there's just something about the YouTuber that gets under everyone's skin.

And following his knockout win over over Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson's boxing return, the 23-year-old hasn't slowed down with the online trash talk.

Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, Ben Askren and almost every mixed martial artist under the sun has found themself in the firing line at some point or another.

And to be fair, you can't knock Paul's confidence.

But you can't imagine he'd be too keen on going toe-to-toe with the latest bloke to register his interest in fighting him.

Rather than sticking his own hand up to derail the Jake Paul hype train, Jorge Masvidal has suggested another worthy opponent.

BMF champ and UFC fan favourite Masvidal has urged Paul to take on Yoel Romero.

ESPN MMA shared a video on social media of Paul saying he wants to "embarrass" MMA fighters in the ring and Romero replied with a GIF of himself 'DITTYBOXIN'.

Which is when Masvidal decided to inject with the perfect response.

"Let's do it @YoelRomeroMMA vs @jakepaul #supernecessary," Masvidal tweeted.

The "Soldier of God" - who is a close friend of Masvidal's - was recently released by Dana White and the UFC, meaning he is now officially a free agent.

And despite being 43 years of age, Romero has hardly showed any signs of slowing up.

Not only has he remained in impeccable shape physically, but he's still widely regarded as one of the best middleweights on the planet.

To put it simply, the bloke who looks like he's been sculpted by the Greek Gods is still just as deadly as he's ever been.

There's no doubt he'll be snapped up by another MMA promotion at some point down the line.

But in the mean time, the prospect on seeing Romero lace up some 12-ounce gloves and taking on Paul in a one-off exhibition bout would undoubtedly have boxing promoters chomping at the bit to sign him.
