Jake Paul Copies Conor McGregor By Declaring Himself 'The Face Of The Fight Game'

Paul has now proclaimed himself as the sport's new poster boy, something a certain UFC star has also did when he crossed over into boxing.

Jake Paul has appeared to copy Conor McGregor, again, this time by proclaiming himself as "the face of the fight game".

The YouTuber-cum-boxer managed to extend his undefeated streak to four wins yesterday after beating former UFC champion TyronWoodley in their grudge match.

Neither fighter looked particularly convincing, although it's hard to argue that Paul didn't deserve the victory.

But if you were expecting him to be humble in the wake of his win, you'd be sorely mistaken - this is Jake Paul we're talking about here.

Instead, the former Disney actor has now declared himself as boxing's new poster boy and cash cow.

"There's a new face of the fight game," Paul said told MMA Junkie.

"That's it.

"Tonight showed my ability. It got more people interested. The biggest names in the sport are tweeting about me, so it's already on a whole other level now."

And if that wasn't bad enough, he then doubled down on those bold claims by changing his Twitter bio too.

This is nothing new though, in fact, it's a carbon copy of what a certain someone did during their rise to prominence too.

During a time when McGregor was winning multiple world championships and fighting arguably one of the best boxers of all-time, the UFC megastar also labelled himself "the face of the fight game".

He has said it in multiple tweets, Instagram posts and even had it in his social media bio for a little bit.

So whether he'd like to openly admit it or not, Paul clearly has the Irishman on his mind.

"Who's doing it bro?" Paul added.

"This is crazy - selling out this whole-ass arena, a whole different audience. This wasn't a boxing audience here tonight, doing a bigger gate, more revenue than Conor McGregor in his 18th fight, selling hundreds and tens and thousands and millions of pay-per-views.

"I need a moment to reflect on this s**t. I've been going on nonstop for 18 months, and we'll see what's next."

Although he has indicated that he'd like to take some time off, it's hard to imagine that another mega-money pay day won't entice Paul to host another bout by the end of the year.

His next opponent remains unknown, despite both Tyron Woodley and rival Tommy Fury throwing their names in the hat.

That said, I think we'd all know who Paul would like to lock horns with next - his rather confused comments in his post-fight press conference being a good indication of that.
