We've seen him make cameo appearances in various Hollywood movies, but now Mike Tyson is giving it a crack on the Bollywood scene.

The "Baddest Man On The Planet" is in line to make his Bollywood debut, featuring in the 2022 film "Liger".

The movie's leading actor Vijay Deverakonda made the announcement via social media.

He tweeted: We promised you Madness! We are just getting started! For the first time on Indian Screens, joining our mass spectacle 'Liger', The Baddest Man on the Planet, The God of Boxing, The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all-time! IRON MIKE TYSON."

The film, which is set for release early next year, follows the story of a kickboxer who suffers from a stutter.

It's understood it will be released in two languages - Hindi and Telugu.

While it remains unknown exactly which role Iron Mike will play, news of his appearance has got Indian and global film fans excited.

Tyson's ability in the ring is unquestionable, but his transition into the entertainment business after hanging up the gloves has been impressive too.

Not only has he featured in a few films here and there, most notably knocking out Zach Galifianakis AKA Alan in The Hangover franchise, but Tyson has also branched out into the podcasting space.

The former heavyweight world champion has a popular podcast called "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson" which has welcomed some of the biggest names in sport.

On top of all that, the 55-year-old made his long-awaited boxing comeback earlier this year taking on Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.

And considering he retired back in 2005, Tyson looked in tremendous shape.

That said, his Bollywood debut and re-entry into the entertainment industry does bode the question as to whether we'll see him step foot inside the ring again this year.

Tyson has openly discussed his desire to take on Evander Holyfield in a trilogy bout, but it seems the boxing legend might be a tad busy in early 2022.
