Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew is quickly becoming a national hero in the United States.
The 23-year-old sixth round draft pick has been thrust into the spotlight after injury to Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles last week.

According to NFL Network reporters Mike Garofolo and Ian Rapoport, Minshew has a strange warm-up routine dating back to his time in college football with Washington State.
Rapoport tweeted: "Per Mike Garafolo, Jaguars starting QB Gardner Minshew stretches in the pre-game locker room in nothing but a jockstrap. Again, our hero."

He was also seen arriving in Houston for this weekend's game wearing a bright red suit and a loud shirt that was unbuttoned down to his stomach.
His moustache has also been likened to that of a 70s porn star and, according to USA Today, Minshew was almost named Beowulf by his parents.
NFL fans have loved Minshew's character and confidence, even if he's yet to guide the Jaguars to victory this season.
The 23-year-old stepped in to replace Foles during the 40-26 defeat by the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

Trailing 13-6 late on, Minshew ran for in on 4th and 10 to keep the drive alive, and then found DJ Chark for a touchdown that stunned NRG Stadium.
Jacksonville decided to go for a two-point conversion late on but came up inches short, and Minshew was left heartbroken.
