Graham Potter has made an admission regarding the Chelsea academy players and his selection preference.
The 47-year-old was announced as the new head coach at Stamford Bridge over a month ago.
He arrived as Thomas Tuchel's successor after a 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League sealed the German's fate.

Life under the management of Potter has begun well at Chelsea, the ship has been steadied and the Blues are performing at a good level.
So far he has taken charge of four games, winning three and drawing his opening match against Red Bull Salzburg.
The three wins all came last week, with victories in the Premier League against Crystal Palace and Wolves and a midweek win against AC Milan in Europe.

The positive week has seen the west London side move into top four and from the bottom of their Champions League group to second.
On Tuesday night, Potter's side will take on AC Milan again in the reverse fixture at the San Siro.
After the comfortable win on Wednesday, the Rossoneri will have to up their game if they want to give Chelsea a better contest.

It will likely be a tougher challenge for the Blues than the one they had at Stamford Bridge, but another positive result is needed.
So far with Potter at the helm, he has used a blend of experience and youth and you'd expect to see the same against the Italian giants.
When speaking about the array of talent at his disposal, the Englishman focused on the homegrown players that he highly values.
After the 3-0 win against Wolves he said: "I don't know if I prefer (using academy players) but I like it, absolutely, and I think it's important to have players who understand the club."

He continued: "Ultimately, the most important thing is having the right people with the right attitude, players who want to improve and have ambition and take the club forward and take their own careers forward. That’s what we want.”
Players such as Mason Mount, Reece James, Conor Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah have all played a big role since his arrival.
Potter clearly sees a lot in the academy graduates and knows they can play a key role in the clubs success.
