Three moves Jamie Vardy could make if he leaves Leicester including stunning transfer everyone wants to see

Three moves Jamie Vardy could make if he leaves Leicester including stunning transfer everyone wants to see

Jamie Vardy is out of contract with Leicester at the end of the season.

Jamie Vardy continued his Leicester fairytale by helping the Foxes clinch the Championship title on Monday night.

Vardy scored twice as Leicester beat Preston North End 3-0 away from home to win the league, having already secured promotion back to Premier League at their first attempt.

The 37-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and there are doubts over his future, although talks are ongoing to extend his career at the King Power Stadium.

The former England international insists he has no plans to retire.

"I'm not ready to hang the boots up yet, the legs feel fine. I feel as fit as I ever have, so we'll just see what happens," said Vardy ahead of the win over PNE.

"But there's two games to go so I'm just fully focused on that now."

There will be no shortage of offers for Vardy, should he decide to leave Leicester this summer. Here are three potential options for the striker if he is seeking a new challenge.

MLS

Vardy has repeatedly been linked with a move to the MLS, a career path well-trodden by players nearing the end of their career.

Vardy has already invested in football in the United States and was minority owner of third-tier side Rochester New York FC, before the club folded last year.

The chance to take on the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the MLS could be tempting for the striker.

Wrexham

Another potential option for Vardy could be to drop down into League One to join newly-promoted Wrexham.

While that would likely result in a steep pay cut for Vardy, the opportunity to be part of the fairytale story currently playing at the Racecourse Ground could be something that the striker would consider – and is one fans would certainly love to see play out.

Vardy made his name in the lower leagues before joining Leicester and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney would no doubt relish to chance to complete a marquee signing such as Vardy to signal their intentions for the future.

Al Khaleej

Last summer, Vardy has rejected a move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al Khaleej among a group of clubs interested in the forward.

But he snubbed their interest, with reports claiming a move to the Gulf state was a 'non starter' for the striker.

Vardy could yet change his opinion on Saudi Arabia, given the huge riches on offer in the Pro League.

But given his past stance on moving to the Middle East, it appears to be the least likely option of the three.
