Zidane has already shared his opinion on the star.

Zinedine Zidane has already made clear his feelings about Harry Kane ahead of a potential move to Bayern Munich.

On Friday, reports emerged that Zidane could be set to make a surprise return to management.

According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the former Real Madrid player and manager is "one step away" from replacing Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich boss.

The German giants have been on the hunt for a new manager for a couple of months now after announcing that Tuchel will leave the club at the end of the season.

Bayern have endured a disappointing campaign that has seen Bayer Leverkusen end their Bundesliga dominance, although they could still win the Champions League.

The Bavarian club were keen to hire Xabi Alonso, but he has pledged his future to Leverkusen.

Bayern then turned their attention to German national team boss Julian Nagelsmann, who they sacked last year. However, Nagelsmann has agreed to stay in his current position until the 2026 World Cup.

Zidane has been linked with the top job at Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool, but he now looks set for Munich.

If he does move to the Allianz Arena, then he will link up with Harry Kane, a player he has previously admitted to being a huge admirer of.

"He is a fundamental player for Tottenham, he is very good in every aspect, but the best thing about him is that he's always got the goal on his mind," Zidane said before his Real Madrid side faced Spurs in a Champions League match in 2017.

"He's a very complete player even though he does not look it, but he always turns up when he needs to."

Reports in Spain at the time claimed that Madrid were interested in Kane, but Zidane never got his target.

Mundo Deportivo have reported that Bayern have not yet signed an agreement with Zidane due to 'missing details', while the 51-year-old is also said to have asked for assurances in the transfer market.

Zidane has been out of management since he left Real Madrid in 2021.

The former France star managed Los Blancos over two separate spells, guiding the club to three Champions League triumphs and two La Liga titles.
