Nicholas Isn't Just Some Random Kid From The Wrestlemania Audience

Nicholas Isn't Just Some Random Kid From The Wrestlemania Audience

The new tag team champion has some pedigree in WWE already, but you probably already figured he wasn't just any kid.

12 hours on and I'm still in utter bewilderment that some 10 year old kid is now WWE world tag-team champion alongside Braun Strowman, I mean I love it but it's wonderfully baffling. And of course it wasn't just any kid.

For weeks leading into the biggest wrestling show of WWE's year Braun Strowman has been the number one contender for the tag belts because he's just so big he can beat everyone on his own.

But the monster amongst men was told he had to choose a partner if he was going to compete against the tag champions, the Bar, on Sunday in New Orleans.

Names like Elias, Big Show, Samoa Joe, Neville and Rey Mysterio were thrown about on social media as if they may be the answer to the conundrum who could hang with Braun but the answer was far less conventional.

Instead of picking an actual wrestler the big man walked into the crowd, going straight past some recognisable faces like No Way Jose and Trent Seven in the audience, to a 'random' child.

Nicholas and Braun of course went on to become champions and, as per Pro Wrestling Sheet, Nicholas may have learnt his in-ring talents from his dad, who is referee John Cone, who counted the 1,2,3 in the ring:

You've got to think that Nicholas will be the youngest ever WWE champion because it's pretty rare that pre teens get into the ring, especially during the 'showcase of the immortals.'

With Irishman Sheamus and Swiss superstar Cesaro suffering defeat at the hands of their prepubescent opponents and losing their titles there's no doubt they'll be annoyed to find out the ref in the fight might have been at best a little biased.

In an interview after the match Nicholas proved that he was quite frankly the coolest and least fussed person about being tag champion, like it was just a normal day:

Can't wait till Nicholas breaks out of the tag game and makes Braun his Marty Jannetty!
