Nia Jax: Me And Ronda Rousey Have Unfinished Business Together

WWE superstar Nia Jax says she has "serious unfinished business" with Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.

At Money in the Bank back in June, the 34-year old powerhouse was Rousey's first singles opponent after she made the transition from UFC to WWE.

The title match, although extremely physical and competitive, didn't go to plan for either woman after Alexa Bliss cashed in her Money in the Bank contract and stole the championship.

However, a few months on and the dynamic has changed a little now that Rousey is the champion and Jax is the No.1 contender after winning a battle royal at the historic Evolution pay-per-view.

Jax, real name Savelina Fanene, was full of praise for the mega star and cannot wait to mix it up again.

"It was pretty incredible," she told SPORTbible when asked how it was stepping into the ring for the Rowdy one.

"I was in there with one of the greatest athletes in the world and she is, being in the ring with her, you can tell.

"And she has a great work ethic, she's incredibly strong and I feel like we have some serious unfinished business that I really want to get back to where we started.

"I feel like we started something really special and it can only get better so I can't wait to see where it goes."

Nia, who is cousin to Hollywood superstar The Rock, has been a key part of the women's division since 2016 and has bouts with a slew of different opponents.

However, she does have her eyes fixed on a match with fellow Samoan and cousin Tamina Snuka - believing it would be something exciting for the fans.

"I've always wanted to work a singles with Tamina because I don't think anybody's ever seen such powerhouses go at it in the women's division so I think it would be really cool," the one-time Raw Women's Champion said.

"I always see such great talent in NXT coming up and the talent we have on our current roster that hasn't fully developed so I never know where it's going to go.

"I've already pretty cool matches; I had a singles match at Wrestlemania with my best friend [Alexa Bliss], the first ever singles match for Ronda Rousey so I've hit some pretty big highs in the match department. I feel like it can only get better."

Jax and Snuka aligned themselves together as a villainous team on Raw and the pair would certainly be a force to be reckoned with if WWE were to bring in women's tag titles - which has been heavily rumoured in recent times.

But Jax isn't in favour of them being introduced for the time-being as she doesn't feel they are needed just yet.

"You know what, I'm probably going to get some crap for it but I'm not," Jax admitted.

"I don't think it's need anytime soon personally. Obviously if I were to be put in the tag division I would want Tamina Snuka to be on my side - I just feel like we'd be unstoppable. But I'm not someone that thinks it's needed yet."
