When you're picked to be one of only a handful of people to get your hands on an incredibly rare and sick looking car, you'd think you'd hold onto it for a while. Considering only 1,000 2017 Ford GT's were made, the vehicle would only increase in value.
But WWE star John Cena didn't want to hold onto it for too long at all and that's reportedly got him in a bit of legal trouble.
Ford is allegedly suing the 40-year-old for flipping the rare car before he was legally allowed to. According to TMZ, the wrestling and film star was contractually obligated to keep the $500,000 (£370,283) V6 for two years.
The lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court in Michigan and reportedly says John got a massive profit from the sale
It reportedly adds: "Mr Cena has unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorised resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity, and customer goodwill due to the improper sale."
Despite Forbes valuing the superstar at around $8 million (£5.9 million) this year, he allegedly sold the car and some property to pay bills. If this is true, then he might be way more out of pocket than before receiving the car, as Ford wants all the proceeds from the sale as well as damages.
Mr Cena was one of roughly 1,000 notable people who received the car - but it's not as if it was just handed to him because of his celebrity status. Those vying for the rare vehicle had to apply for it, with more than 7,000 doing so.

Those who were selected for the ultimate prize includes artist Deadau5, actor Scott Eastwood, American NASCAR driver Joey Logano, baseballer C. J. Wilson and YouTuber Shmee150, according to Road and Track.
In October, John Cena appeared in a YouTube video on the Bella Twins' channel promoting the 2017 Ford GT.

The vehicle definitely didn't look like it accommodated for someone with his immense size. Despite this minor hitch, he praised it for its carbon fibre materials and stunning aerodynamics. He also noted it's the most powerful V6 ever made.
If you're wondering why the fuck you'd made a car that looks like that a V6, it was to ensure it was as light as possible. You could hardly wipe the smile off his face during the whole video, so it's hard to imagine why he'd want to give it up, even for a massive profit.
