Logan Paul saved Rey Mysterio from what could have been a broken neck during Saturday's WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Paul, who defeated former MMA fighter Dillion Danis in their high-profile boxing match last month, returned to the ring to face WWE legend Mysterio on the weekend.

Paul beat the American to win the United States Championship after using his signature brass knuckles to deliver a knockout punch and take home his first WWE title.

However, the YouTuber-turned-wrestler had to have his wits about him when Mysterio attempted a backwards flip off the ropes.

Paul quickly noticed that his opponent had misjudged the landing and heroically leapt to catch Mysterio mid-air and smoothly turn it into his own move.

You can watch the clip below.

Fans have been quick to praise Paul for stepping in and saving what could have been a disaster.

Talking to social media, one fan tweeted: "Wow @LoganPaul legit saved Rey, not going to lie he's born to do WWE I wouldn't even complain if he's their guy after Roman."

While another wrote: "Logan Paul, our unexpected hero, swooped in to rescue Rey from impending doom – it's like he out-entertained the disaster, showing that in the WWE, even chaos has its comedic moments!"

A third added: "So close to Rey having a broken neck. Logan likely forgot and wasn't positioned close enough at the moment to catch a vertical body but good thing he recovered."

"Thats why Logan’s a pro," a fourth chimed in.
