To many it would be natural if Khabib Nurmagomedov's next title defence was against Tony Ferguson but the Russian's agent says that it'll be Georges St Pierre and 'nobody cares' about Ferguson's opinion.
After Khabib defended his UFC lightweight title against interim champion Dustin Poirier on Saturday night, to become undisputed champ, it was thought that his next fight would be Ferguson, with UFC president Dana White even saying, "Tony Ferguson is next in line for the fight if he accepts the fight."
However according to the Russian's agent that isn't the case, and it'll actually be Georges St Pierre. Speaking to TMZ, Ali Abdelaziz had some strong words for Ferguson, saying, "Nobody really cares about what Tony says. Nobody gives a sh*t really.

"As far as I know, GSP is next. That is what I want. Tony doesn't get what he wants. We get what Khabib wants, and if Khabib calls me and says he wants Georges St-Pierre, Georges St-Pierre will be next."
There's no doubt that a fight between the two men would be one of the biggest in UFC history but it would take bringing the Canadian back from retirement to make it happen.
St Pierre returned in 2017, after a four year absence, and beat Michael Bisping for the middleweight title, before retiring.

Speaking about the fight making a legacy for his fighter Abdelaziz added, "If you're going to compare Tony Ferguson, he beat a whole bunch of guys, but he never been a champion. I'm talking about if Khabib is going to fight for legacy, a fight with Georges St-Pierre will be a huge fight.
"Dana White is a business man. That's why he's the best promoter of all time. I think him and Georges St-Pierre make a lot more money and more headlines. People will care more. It's a fight for who is the greatest of all time."
White had also said that if Ferguson wouldn't take the fight then Conor McGregor was the obvious replacement for a rematch but 'the Eagle's' manager, who was the target of some of McGregor's pre fight vitriol, was having none of that saying, "Conor is like a sour ex-girlfriend; she can't get anybody else. This is what Conor is. He's irrelevant, and you heard what Justin Gaethje said. He's not a good person. The train has left him."
