"The honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it."

There are three things that are certain in life: death, taxes and Conor McGregor sparking a feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov on Twitter.

The Russian fighter was insulted on a number of occasions before 'the biggest fight in UFC history' last year, but Nurmagomedov had the last laugh in Las Vegas.

McGregor tapped at the end of round four after one of his famous submission holds.

Khabib then jumped the cage to attack Dillon Danis, an incensed McGregor climbed up and threw a punch at one of Khabib's team, and even more carnage occurring when some of the Russian's entourage stormed the Octagon.

It was all a little crazy, to say the least.

But at the end of the day, Nurmagomedov retained his lightweight crown and walked away the champion, but their rivalry hasn't really stopped since that famous night.

The pair have been known to exchange words on social media, and last night was no different.

McGregor started the war of words, responding to one of Nurmagomedov's tweets:

"Great feeling, after 5 championships rounds. See you soon my fans, very soon. And thank you all you guys, for support all these years." the champion posted.

McGregor reposted, saying: "You got your money took and your brothers eye socket shook when you fought me you little rat. Viva Las Vegas baby the gaf always wins. Big stomper party in the Wynn coming soon!"

But Khabib was having none of it, and many believe he came out on top once again with this brutally honest tweet:

"@TheNotoriousMMA money comes and goes, the honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it.

"Finish career in mma, but start career on twitter? #twitterWarrior"

Many think the Russian fighter's latest tweet might be the end of the argument.
