Watch: A Young Khabib Nurmagomedov Wrestled With A Bear

Conor McGregor never stood a chance, did he?

As an eight year old I was barely allowed to cross the street on my own to go and get the ball I'd kicked over the fence and into the people living behind us' garden. Khabib Nurmagomedov on the other hand was fighting a bear!

You often see videos of famous sports people as youngsters doing the thing they'd go on to be brilliant at. Think Scott Parker doing kick ups in a 1993 McDonalds advert or Lewis Hamilton racing RC cars on Blue Peter in 1992, well that's close enough.

But a young Khabib wasn't in the ring wrestling, no apparently he was taking to the forests of Russia, or at least an unkept back garden, to wrestle a bear. He gets in a surprising amount of offence.

The Russian might actually take this on a points decision.

Given the 30-year old had already mixed it up with a freaking bear as a youngster, it's no surprise that he made easy work of Conor McGregor in their UFC 229 main event bout last night.

Khabib bossed the fight and submitted McGregor in the fourth round but it was the aftermath that made headlines all over the world.

The UFC Lightweight Champion lost his head after tapping out McGregor in the main event, living up to his 'Eagle' nickname by flying over the Octagon to get at his opponent's camp and entering a brawl with them, specifically going after Dillon Danis.

An incensed McGregor climbed up the cage, threw a shot at Khabib's cousin Abubakar and was then attacked himself in the Octagon as all hell broke loose at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC president Dana White said he was "disgusted and sick" over what went down on UFC's biggest ever fight and promised that those involved would never fight in his company again.

They'll never fight here. I've been working hard for 18 years to build this sport," White is quoted as saying by MMA Fighting.

"When you have such an amazing event that we've worked hard to build over the last several months and it goes perfect, I mean literally it was too eerie. I kept saying this is too crazy man. Everybody made weight, everything was so smooth. Security took all the right precautions.

"Those of you that have been to many events, you've never seen this many metro police officers in the building. Security was unbelievable."
