The Incredible Moment An MMA Fighter Fakes A Heart Attack In Fight

It's all very, very bizarre.

The world of MMA and combat sports frequently throws up the unexpected, but we can safely say the bout between Travis Fulton and Jonathan Ivey for the CC Heavyweight championship at Colosseum Combat 45 is one of the weirdest ever.

In just the first round of the main event, it was all done and dusted but this wasn't anything but a slick, devastating finish. It was all very bizarre.

Ivey, who is 32-57 according to Sherdog, decided to fake a heart attack in order to dupe his opponent, who dropped his guard for a brief moment and then found himself on the receiving end of an onslaught of punches in next to no time.

He even as far as a ground and pound on the veteran Fulton, but then before you could even blink, he'd willingly got off the 41-year old and tapped out himself. Absolutely mental stuff.

It's been said that Ivey has idolises Fulton and couldn't find it within himself to mercilessly beat his hero, who he has a tattoo of on his leg. Hence the quite remarkable retirement in the fight.

Another one of the weirdest endings to an MMA bout came in March when Drew Chatman performed a bizarre front flip off unconscious opponent Irvins Ayala, who had accidently knocked himself out.

It was, in fact, the 23-year-old's first pro mixed martial arts fight but he was disqualified and subsequently suspended for his stupid antics.

Chatman offered the following explanation and apologised, as per MMA Fighting:

"Normally, I celebrate my fights. If you see all my amateur fights, I'm doing flips, I'm doing cartwheels or whatever the case may be. I didn't think before I did it. I just jumped and did a flip.

"So it was almost like subconsciously I did what I normally what I would do celebrating a victory that I normally get."
