Ladies and gentlemen, forget what happened at Madison Square Garden last night because a knockout of the year contender happened during South Africa's Extreme Fighting Championship 75 event at the weekend.

In what has been described as a spinning-back helbow, Mzwandile "Shakebone" Hlongwa sent his opponent to the mat with one of the deadliest finishes we've ever come across in MMA.

Torbjorn Madsen fell to the ground after a swift one-two combination, and the crowd gasped as Hlongwa celebrated a famous win.

Have you ever seen anything like it? Commentators went on to describe the moment as "one of the best knockouts I've seen in the EFC" as the clip soon went viral on social media.

The Norwegian fighter later confirmed that everything was fine, while congratulating Mzwandile "Shakebone" Hlongwa for his efforts:

"I'm in the ambulance now. I'm going to a check in the hospital. Everything is fine. This can happen, it's fun. Well done by him, Madsen said to TV 2 after the fight.

From the incredible to the bizarre, Two fighters in India suffered a knockout at exactly the same time in one of the most bizarre moments you'll see this year.

In terms of the rules, double knockouts are so rare that most regulating boards have no classification for them, but we can only presume this particular bout was ruled a technical draw.

The pair appear to clash heads as the person filming is heard saying: "What just happened?"

It takes around 25 seconds for both men to get to their feet as the referee held his hands up. Have you ever seen anything like it?

Incredible.
