I can't believe I'm saying this but, Khabib Nurmagomedov, the undefeated UFC lightweight champion, could make his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in the not so distant future.

In fact, it looks like the Russian fighter will receive some much-needed help from some of the very best.

Nurmagomedov's father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, has claimed that Mike 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' Tyson would be in his corner if a bout with Floyd Mayweather was to go ahead.

In an interview with Russian news agency TASS, he went on to state that Anatoly Lomachenko, the father of two-time Olympic Gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko, would also help him.

"Khabib will have a chance in boxing, he will have a higher chance than McGregor. Khabib will go close up in the clinch." Khabib's father said.

"I would like the best specialist in the boxing world Anatoly Lomachenko and Mike Tyson to be in our corner."

Abdulmanap also predicted that his son would have a real chance against the American, but says that his main focus in on the Nevada trial.

"Of course Khabib would have a chance (against Mayweather), but now it's premature to talk about it, there's a trial in Nevada."

Nurmagomedov made the call-out to his fellow undefeated fighter when mingling with Ellerbe, who is the CEO of Mayweather Promotions.

He proposed the fight and mentioned the fact that he put Conor McGregor on his arse in their UFC 229, when Mayweather didn't despite beating him by TKO in the Las Vegas crossover boxing bout in August 2017.

"Hey let's go Floyd, we have to fight now," the UFC Lightweight title champ says in a video doing the rounds.

"50-0 versus 27-0. Two guys, never never like lose. In the jungle, only one king.

"Of course I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor. But I dropped him easily!"

Khabib isn't really known for his striking but he showed he does have a stiff right-hand in his locker by flooring McGregor in the Octagon.

Who's your winner? Khabib or Floyd Mayweather?
