There we have it. Khabib Nurmagomedov will not be stripped of his lightweight crown after UFC president Dana White said he will 'absolutely' keep his title.

Khabib jumped the cage moments after his fourth round win and attacked McGregor's coach, Dillion Danis - an incident that could have severe consequences.

But White confirmed that he will keep the title.

"He absolutely keeps his title," White told TMZ. "And he's going to get suspended, so maybe you give him a four-to-six month suspension."

Khabib has since reacted to the news on social media, posing outside of Dana White's car with his belt, playfully threatening the UFC president by saying:

"You lucky that you give my belt, or I would smash your car, I know your parking location."

White then responded brilliantly by claiming he would "tell his father" if he did such a thing. And you definitely don't want to get on the wrong side of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov

It is, however, likely that the 30-year-old will receive a heavy punishment for his actions after NSAC executive direction Bob Bennett confirmed to MMA Junkie that a 'comprehensive investigation' is currently taking place.

But what does UFC president White think about Nurmagomedov's situation following the events of UFC 229?

White revealed it wasn't him or the company that Khabib had to worry about when it came to discipline, but the Nevada Athletic Commission.

"The Nevada State Athletic Commission is going to go after him pretty hard. He doesn't have to worry about me, he has to worry about them." he told TMZ.

"The Governor was here tonight and he went running out of the building. He's in big trouble."

White went on to claim that the fighter should get a $250,000 fine and a hefty suspension.

"They took his whole purse right now and they're talking about keeping his purse - I do not think that that should happen," White said.

"You should not be able to keep his whole purse."

Khabib has still not received his $2 million purse since winning the bout, while Conor McGregor has received his pay check for the fight in Las Vegas.
