Conor McGregor had his New Year's Eve plans ruined after being struck down with Australian Flu.
The MMA star took to his Instagram account to tell fans that he and his family had been left bed bound after getting the illness - with some of his family so bad they even had to go to hospital.
Fortunately for McGregor, he didn't need a trip to A&E but did spend the day 'shaking in bed' after picking up the virus.
He jokingly (I hope it was a joke, anyway) posted that he had 'never even been to Australia' but had been put through an 'intense few days', adding that he had to cancel a party last minute.
However, it wasn't all bad, because McGregor also reflected on his highlight of the year - which wasn't the paycheque he picked up from his fight with Mayweather, you cynical bastards. It was the birth of his little boy Conor Jr., who is properly cute.

He thanked his family, friends and staff for supporting him and wished his fans a happy new year.
Writing about his recent press coverage, he said: "I may go back to the back pages instead of the front pages again but I have a feeling these journalists now just want me in the obituary pages so we shall see."
UFC boss Dana White has been keen to get McGregor back into the octagon as soon as possible, following his defeat against Mayweather in August, with fans hoping he'd be back in 2017. Obviously, that didn't happen and from White's recent comments it might be a while yet.

"Let's get through the holidays and hopefully he starts to get the itch to come back and hopefully we can get him back this summer," White told ESPN.
Something to look forward to in 2018 then, eh?
