Khabib Nurmagomedov has responded to Conor McGregor's 'racist' post.
The Irishman posted a picture of Nurmagomedov and his wife, accompanied with the words: "Your wife is a towel mate."
However, the post didn't stay up for long. He swiftly deleted the message from social media.
But the UFC lightweight champion, who boasts a victory over McGregor, has returned fire in controversial fashion.
"Rapist, you are Rapist. You are a hypocrite who is not responsible for your actions. Justice will find you. We will see."
Nurmagomedov's Tweet has instantly gone viral. His manager, Ali Abdelaziz, also weighed in with an outlandish post.
"Talking shit, this guy is insulting someone's wife and making fun of her religion and belief. He doesn't realize he's insulting 1.5 billon Muslims. Religion and family is a no no. You're fucked Connor, let's see what the media is going to say now. He's a rapist, and a bitch," he said.
This is getting out of hand.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov is currently serving a nine-month suspension for his actions during the post-fight brawl which marred UFC 229.
But he's expected to return to the famed Octagon in September.
UFC president Dana White has confirmed Nurmagomedov will be back in action in September.
"He'll be back in September," he said. "It's one of the things with him anyways, he's on suspension and then he doesn't fight during Ramadan. That puts him at September."
What's more, it appears a September 7 date is in the works.
His opponent for September will most likely be the winner between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier.
