Khabib Nurmagomedov And Conor McGregor Make Weight, UFC 229 Is Official

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor have both officially made weight for their UFC 229 main-event bout.

The pair of lightweights hit the championship mark, making UFC 229 official.

Nurmagomedov, 30, made weight first. He weighed in at 155lbs ahead of making the first defence of his UFC lightweight title.

McGregor then weighed in, tipping the scales at 154.5lbs

Ahead of fighting Nurmagomedov, 'Mystic Mac's' forecast is in.

"I think I'm going to turn him into a bobblehead if I'm honest," he told The Mac Life.

Nurmagomedov and McGregor have been trading verbal jabs with the pair firing shots at a pre-fight press conference in New York.

Despite the bad blood, McGregor stays true to his fighting philosophy in that it's a blank face inside the cage.

"It's personal but it's the same, it's always a little personal. In there it's a blank face and a new body."

McGregor added: "I see him turning into a bobblehead when I hit him. I feel his brain is going to rattle when he takes a clatter off me.

"That's what I'm keeping in my head, but I'm a veteran now.

"I will be prepared for five rounds, I'll be prepared for any scenario. I'm well trained, I've put in the work and we are confident going in, no matter where it goes."

UFC 229 can't come soon enough.
