The UFC lightweight champion is set to defend his title against Conor McGregor who returns to the famed Octagon for the first time since 2016.
The pair have been relentlessly bickering on social media as the UFC 229 main-event was announced on Friday during a press conference in Los Angeles.

Back and forth Twitter exchanges between Nurmagomedov and McGregor has stoked their rivalry ahead of October 6th.
However, Nurmagomedov has come under fire following his Instagram activity.
He captured footage of his cousin interacting with a homeless man, appearing to make him to do some push-ups for money.
Nurmagomedov isn't in the shot but can be heard laughing in the background as he films the video.
Not a good look for the unbeaten Dagestan-fighter, right?

Anyway, the anticipated lightweight meeting is just a few months away, it's expected to smash UFC pay-per-view records. Experts are tipping a whopping 2 million buys.
And UFC is turning the promotional wheel by dropping a spine-tingling trailer featuring both combatants, which includes McGregor's typically brilliant sound bites as well as the mayhem he in caused in Brooklyn.
But before the Irishman launched a dolly at a bus carrying UFC fighters, McGregor and Nurmagomedov were actually on pals.

So much so, Nurmagomedov wanted his t-shirt with McGregor even offering his services as a sparring partner.
