Conor McGregor has thrown down the gauntlet to Mark Wahlberg after calling out the "actress" on Twitter.
That's right, he went there. The 30-year-old Irishman took social media by storm earlier this week after he announced his retirement from MMA, but since then, he has turned his attention to the Hollywood actor.
"I've decided to challenge Hollywood actress Mark Walhberg [sic] next," he tweeted.
"A fight for all the shares!"
After one Twitter user suggested that the former UFC fighter watch Wahlberg in 2005's Four Brothers, McGregor really went to town in his response.
"I'll smack him and his four brothers around," he wrote.
"It wouldn't be the first crew of brothers I've smacked around.
"Check the history books. The UFC history books."
Despite the fact that the Notorious has walked away from the sport, there have been rumblings that he could take a similar path as Ronda Rousey in terms of swapping MMA for WWE.
Before that happens, though, McGregor has not forgotten about his rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov after he recently fired a shot at him on social media.
"You got your money took and your brother's eye socket shook when you fought me, you little rat," he wrote.
"Viva Las Vegas, baby, the gaf always wins. Big stomper party in the Wynn coming soon!"
Well, the 30-year-old Russian UFC fighter has noticed the trash-talking McGregor and taken his own swipe at the Irishman.
Will McGregor make a U-turn on his retirement and return to the UFC someday?
